Happy First Friday!!  It’s Hot Wheels and High Heels tonight….downtown Anderson.  Don’t forget from 5 to 8 pm….come on downtown to vote for your favorite High Heels!  The winner will recieve a $30 gift certificate from Blake n Bradys.   Runner up gets a beautiful Whiting & Davis key ring donated by Catons.   Come sample goodies from Davis Downtown Market and Kitchen Emporium served up at Two Gather Beads.   There will be wine tasting at Kitchen Emporium, music at Gallery 313, special goodies from Kitchen Emporium at Pixel Point, lemonade with fresh peaches at Davis Downtown Market, and do not miss the blinged out feathered shoes at eyeZinga!   Don’t miss the fun!!!   Downtown Anderson is the place to be on First Friday!!!!

You know those craftables that just did not live up to a project?  Donate them to the Back Alley Artists.

What’s a craftable?  Buttons, beads, sparkles, ribbons, plastic flowers, metal, glass, anything that can be glued, stapled, hammered, painted, or tied to a Faux Show meant to be fun, zany, wacky work of art.

Who is a Back Alley Artist…anyone who participates in the upcoming “eventshops” that will be held at participating downtown businesses.  The works of art created at these “eventshops” will be then be entered in the first annual Art Faux Show to be held in August.

Donate your unused, unwanted craft supplies at any of the following businesses….Davis Downtown Market, eyeZinga!, Gallery 313, Kitchen Emporium, Pixel Point, and Two Gather Beads.

First Friday – June 3 is Hot Wheels and High Heels and we are having a Crazy High Heel contest to celebrate!  Shoes can be entered as “giveaways”,  “wantembacks,”  or entered in the upcoming Art Faux show in August.

Enter your “giveaways” in the ugliest of ugliest high heel category because we are assuming you probably really don’t want those ugly things back.

And we know you all have a pair of those “just to die for, got to have them, can’t really afford them but getting them anyway” high heels that can be entered in the “wantemback” categorie because there is no way you are giving those babies up.

Or find a pair of cool high heels and  bling em out!  And then enter them in the August Art Faux Show.

Start entering your shoes this Tuesday, May 31 at your favorite participating First Friday business because you got it …..the storefront with the most entries wins the Crazy High Heel top Dawg award to be displayed in their store for the year!

Then get all your family and friends to come vote, browse, and enjoy the First Friday events!  Voting will be from 5 to 7:45 during the event with winners announced at 8pm.

Looking for crazy old high heels!!

First Friday – June 3 is Hot Wheels and High Heels and we are having a Crazy High Heel contest to celebrate!  They can be entered as “giveaways” or “wantembacks.”  Keep them simple and sweet or bling em out!  Or just donate them to the cause as we are decking out our storefronts in ….you got it….high heels!!

Voting will be June 3 from 5 to 8 so make sure all your friends and family come on downtown Anderson to cast their votes.

Check out the new spoon jewelry we just added to our online store.  These bracelets and rings are handmade from triple-plated vintage flatware.  Bracelets are  connected with steel jump rings, and finished with a sterling silver toggle.  They are beautiful and won’t be around for long!   Won’t go out without mine.

Downtown Anderson is the place to be First Fridays!

It’s Hot Wheels and High Heels on Friday June 3, 2011 from 5:00 to 8:00.

Participating shoppes will decorate store fronts with High Heels and there will be a special previewing of some of the Hot Wheels that will be at the Fathers’ Day Car Show, Saturday, June 18, 2011 “on the square.”  Some of the shoppes will be serving refreshments! And of course you can pick up special gifts for Dads, Grads, and Brides, and Grooms! ( That’s what those High Heels are for.)

Join these eclectic shops for activities and shopping as they are all staying open until 8:00 PM on First Fridays.  Look for the Hot Wheels and High Heels outside these shops!

First Friday at Two Gather Beads April 2011

Thanks to all of you who visited Two Gather Beads on First Friday last night!  And thanks to Buck Roberts city councilman and Jeff Waters Main St Program for showing your support by stopping by.  On the menu last night was empanades, tuna and shrimp hors doeurves, and raspberry rum almond cheesecake.  Extra big thanks to Chef Rey for the delicious treats!
