Back Alley Artists are finalizing details for the first ever Art Faux Show to premier in August …..where everyone is an artist!  BAA needs your old plastic yard chairs that you are going to toss anyway!  Let your friends and neighbors know.  Drop them off at any of the following businesses: Davis Downtown Market, eyeZinga!, Gallery 313, Kitchen Emporium, Pixel Point, and Two Gather Beads.  Stay tuned for more info on the upcoming Back Alley Artists crazy fun eventshops and how to participate in downtown Anderson’s first Art Faux Show.

First Friday at Two Gather Beads April 2011

Thanks to all of you who visited Two Gather Beads on First Friday last night!  And thanks to Buck Roberts city councilman and Jeff Waters Main St Program for showing your support by stopping by.  On the menu last night was empanades, tuna and shrimp hors doeurves, and raspberry rum almond cheesecake.  Extra big thanks to Chef Rey for the delicious treats!

Beadweaving on Thursdays with Marguerite will be starting up again on Thursday, February 3 from 12:30 to 3:00.   Everyone works on their choice of projects from Marguerite’s great selection of kits.  Try different kits from week to week. $10 for the workshop plus kits and sometimes extraneous beads.  Materials required for the class are #12 needles, and 6lb Fireline which can be purchased at Two Gather Beads.

A new order in of Czech fire polish just came in and to make room for it we are clearing out a large amount of Czech strands for a $1 each.  Come on in and check out the old and the new!  Okay….it will take us a couple of days to get the new ready to put out but in the meantime….come in and get some great deals on the old!

Be in downtown Anderson this Sunday at 2:00 pm to check out the 30th Annual Anderson Toy Parade in memory of Charles and Diane Bolt.  This huge motorcycle event asks that all riders donate a new toy for a child under 10 to participate and is one of the largest parades of this type in the state.  Spectators are also encouraged to donate toys before the parade begins in the White Jones parking lot on South Main St.

The hundreds of motorcycles is an incredible sight to see!   Come on downtown Anderson to support this wonderful event and while you are there…stop and see us at Two Gather Beads!
